A fastest-finger buzzer system for quiz nights, trivia competitions, and classroom games. The host opens the buzzers, players press their assigned key or tap their button, and the first response is highlighted. When Lock After First is enabled, the round then locks. Supports up to 8 teams with score tracking.
How to Use the Quiz Buzzer
- Add teams or players (up to 8). Each gets a numbered keyboard key (1-8).
- The host clicks Open Buzzers (or presses Space) to start a round.
- Players race to press their key or tap their buzzer button.
- The first player to buzz is highlighted; when Lock After First is enabled, the buzzers lock.
- Award points using +/- buttons, then choose Reset Round for the next question.

Each team is assigned a number key (1-8) for instant response. On a shared laptop, players hover over their key and race to press first. The system records the exact order of buzzes for tiebreaker situations.
Host controls
The host manages the flow: Open Buzzers when the question is read, check who buzzed first, award or deduct points, then choose Reset Round for the next question. Lock After First can be disabled when the host wants to record multiple buzzes in one round.
