About the Team Generator
Generate teams from a list of players in seconds. Choose between Random mode (shuffled assignment) or Balanced mode (guaranteed equal sizes). Configure by number of teams or players per team — the tool calculates the rest. Regenerate instantly until the matchups feel right, then copy the results.
How to Use the Team Generator
- Enter player names in the text area, one per line or separated by commas.
- Select a generation mode: Random (shuffled) or Balanced (equal sizes).
- Choose team configuration: by number of teams or by players per team.
- Adjust the team count or team size using the stepper controls.
- Click Generate Teams to create the teams.
- Use Regenerate for new teams, or copy individual teams or all results.

Random vs Balanced
Random mode shuffles all players and assigns them — teams may vary in size by one or two. Balanced mode guarantees every team has the same number of members (or as close as mathematically possible). Both modes prevent duplicates and ensure every player ends up on exactly one team.
Two configuration options
Choose 'Number of Teams' to specify how many teams you want (the tool calculates players per team), or 'Players per Team' to set the team size (the tool calculates how many teams that creates). A preview shows the math before you generate.
Quick regenerate
Not happy with the teams? Hit Regenerate to instantly create a new set from the same player list. The names stay entered so you can keep regenerating until everyone's satisfied. Copy individual teams or all teams at once.
